A Christmas Story

The 1983 holiday movie A Christmas Story inspired this collection by Department 56. The collection was originally offered in 2005 through Sears (under “06…” item codes) which had Early Releases as well as a few Exclusive items that were sold early in the village's history. Several pieces were offered as Early Releases and Exclusives to A Christmas Story House & Museum in Cleveland, OH to sell in their gift shop as well. Unlike other village collections, multiple item numbers, different release dates, as well as tailored packaging differences were used.
